Diploma in Pattern Making and Sewing

The course duration is 125 hours

Number of portions 25 portions

The duration of the class is 4 to 5 hours, from 10:4 pm

The course is scheduled for Monday and Wednesday of every week

Diploma content:

(The first stage)

• Training on the sewing machine and how to operate it
• Training on how to take body measurements correctly
• Training on drawing the basic flat corsage pattern in student size
• Kimono drawing technique
• Kimono execution method
• Learn about the secrets of professional execution and how to cut and cut a piece

(The Second Stage)

• How to draw the basic blouse pattern
• Drawing the basic sleeve pattern with cuff
• Drawing the backpack in two pieces and the connected strap
• How to make and fasten each piece of the basic blouse
• How to draw a pattern, another model of the basic blouse, with the magic stick, the back story, and how to draw a kettle and a Chinese cake.
• Implementing the model and learning how to close each piece (the magic key / the back story / the clown / the Chinese knife)
• Training on drawing sleeves
• Drawing the camels
• Blown sleeve drawing
• Drawing half a clove (half circle)
• Drawing the full sleeve (full circle)
• Drawing the two men's profile
• Method of opening the sleeve for making the cuff from the bottom

(The third stage)

• Draw the basic pocket pattern with the waistband
• Implementing the basic pocket and installing the cameras and magic zippers
• Drawing the A-Line pocket pattern
• Drawing the pattern of the half-cloth pocket (half a circle)
• Recognizing the anatomy and physiology of the urinary system
• Implementation of the half-cloth pocket and how to install the sash and lining
• Training on drawing the basic pants pattern
• Training on drawing the inclined pocket and its flap
• Implementation of basic trousers with slant pocket and petal
• Training on drawing the pattern of the round dress with ruffles
• Training on closing and lining the dress completely
• Training on drawing the corset pattern with a pencil
• Recognizing the method of penny conjugations to extract the different models
• Draining the penny to extract the princess cut from the shoulder
• Read the models to be able to draw any pattern we want to implement

 Diploma outputs :

Implementation is carried out on a velvet fabric or an outdoor fabric, according to the student’s choice

Graduation project:

• 4 pieces are made with outer fabric (flat pattern blouse / pinstripe blouse / trousers / basic pocket or half cloche), and the model is chosen by the student.
